Scribe - Search-first Handwriting Launcher

Your privacy is non-negotiable. Scribe Launcher is built to function entirely offline, without surveillance, tracking, or data collection.

1. Data Collection

We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data externally. All data remains entirely on your device.

We do not:

Track you
Display ads
Use analytics or crash reporting tools
Store or share data on any server

2. Local Data Storage

Scribe Launcher stores the following locally only:

App preferences and settings
Wallpaper and appearance choices
Handwriting configuration settings
Quick-access app selections

This data can be removed at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing its local storage.

3. Permissions and Access

Scribe Launcher may request these optional permissions:

All permissions are processed on-device only and can be revoked at any time via Android settings.

4. Handwriting Recognition

Scribe uses ML Kit Digital Ink Recognition for handwriting input.

Recognition runs entirely on your device
No handwriting data is sent to any server
Language models are downloaded locally and stored on-device

5. Data Retention and Deletion

All data is stored locally as long as the App is installed
Uninstalling Scribe Launcher deletes all associated data
No cloud sync or remote recovery exists
You can optionally export your settings and data for phone migration or as a backup (you are entirely liable for where and how you store this backup file)

6. Your Rights

Because no personal data is collected or stored externally, there is no data access or deletion request process required. You remain in full control of your data through your device.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. Significant changes will be communicated through app updates.
